Diamante Del Sol Condos

After shooting the newly renovated penthouse at Diamante Del Sol, Lost Beach Vacation Rentals loved the images and decided it was time to update the images for their other units in the building.
Their focus was to keep production time down, while still keeping the quality high, so we could capture a good representation of their rental units within their available budget.
We focussed on capturing a few key wide angles of each space. Our instructions were to skip over detailed shots and focus on showcasing the overall space. For some rooms where it wasn’t a spectacular mountain or ocean view, we left the shades drawn.
However, they also wanted potential renters and future buyers to be able to connect to the beautiful views in key spaces while still showcasing the interiors.
When views are important we take multiple exposures to give us more available dynamic range and allow us to simultaneously capture well exposed interiors and nice views. We capture this by shooting 5 different exposures, then flipping it out of HDR mode and capturing a flash fill at the middle exposure.
Then in post production we create a merge of these exposures to achieve perfectly exposed interiors, and then use a blending technique in photoshop to bring back the views. It’s a very time-consuming technique and requires a lot of finesse, but it is well worth it when you need to sell the views.
During the production schedule we always try to maximize the content we can capture for the client and give them as much variety as possible. So, even though they didn’t plan to capture exteriors that day, we stayed a little longer and flew the drone and took some exteriors by the pool.
In the end, they loved the final images and scheduled another shoot for their sister property Bahia Encantada to refresh their imagery.
Thank you Lost Beach for another great shoot!
